Important Decisions

It has been a while since I have wanted to know where I will be going for my abroad station. It was clear to me that it would be either India or China. But which one?? After having very nice contacts with Indian colleagues here and hearing about an ongoing low-cost injector project, I had already started dreaming about India. But… During my mentor appointment last week and a few talks with managers from the Bamberg plant, I was informed about the new activities going on in China and I slowly felt the probability of going to china going up.
The final word was told yesterday and I agreed to go to China for 4 months starting this september. I will be going to the Wuxi plant where Bosch currently produces injectors for trucks. But what I will exactly do there will be decided in the upcoming days. I will soon stop my German classes and now start taking Chinese lessons. I am already aware that one cannot learn Chinese in such a short time but trying to learn the basics before going to a new country is the least that one can do!

If it is not to much to ask, I am very intersted and would love to learn more about how to enter the trainee program. One of my work goals is to make sure that my employment involves travel. I would love to be going to india or China! best of luck!

Hello Allegra. If you would like to find detailed information about the trainee program at bosch you can always go to www.bosch.com –> jobs&careers –> Graduate –> Graduate Management Trainee Program. If you would like to get more than what you find over there, let me know!

Hi Kevin,
For me it is exciting to hear someonte talking about traveling to India and/or China. I’m from Mexico, but I have travel a lot to USA. Do you know any mexican guy that is actually enrolled on this program? Is there any chance to get in here in Mexico?
Regards,
Roger Denis.

Hello Roger,
The nationality does not play any role in the enrollment of this program. I have not met any Mexican Trainees but this doesnt mean there arent any, as the number of trainees is very big! As an important information: This trainee program that we are in is a program that is based in Germany. You have to start in Germany and you have a german contract. In many countries there are local trainee programs which are similar. The first step for you would be to decide if you want to move to germany or stay in Mexico and then get information in order to find out whether there is a Trainee program in Mexico.
Best of luck!
Kevin
