A technical trainee at a commercial department

I have started working in the controlling department about 2 weeks ago. After spending more than a year in the production, I am now experiencing a totally different working environment. My first impression was that the people here play around with numbers on excel the whole day (which is not completely wrong) but it gets more interesting as they regularly have to present these numbers and figures to the top management.
As I will be staying here for a short period of time (4 weeks) I will unfortunately not be able to get involved in big projects but as a technical trainee, being able to get contacts in the department, understanding what the people here do, helping them playing around with numbers, and attending the regular meetings with the top management is definitely a valuable experience.
