Countdown for China
Kevin 20.August, 2008 @ 10:38 Abgelegt unter: Fertigung
I still had big doubts that I would be going to China, at least on time, until I finally received my visa last week. Since then, I have started doing all of the ‘fun’ stuff I mentioned in my earlier blog. Tomorrow is my last day at work and I will be flying to Turkey to finally enjoy a week of real summer (which doesn’t seem to really exist in Germany :) … no offence please ) 35 degrees, by the sea enjoying being with my family and friends.
My experience in the logistic department has been successful. I took full advantage of the holiday season and was able to take complete responsibility of my colleagues who went to enjoy their holidays. Learn by doing… Isn’t it the best way to learn the job?
Now it is time for the farewells. During my 18 months here in Bamberg, I had the chance to meet friends and colleagues who I know I will stay in contact in the future. It is of course somehow sad having to leave and start everything from zero, but this is exactly the flexibility that one has to have as a trainee at Bosch.
Oh and tomorrow is the first day of the Sandkerwa. This is one of the most famous Folk-festivals of the region. It is a 5 day event which attracts 300.000 people from all over the world. I think this is a nice way to finish my Bamberg experience

Good luck Kev,
I’ve been working in China (Beijing) for 6 months and it was the best time of my life!
Enjoy the good food (but avoid buying it from shops in the streets - you will know why ;-)).
Best wishes,
Steve

Salut Kevin,
Christophe
