My first 3 weeks in Wuxi, China

I arrived safely to china on September 3rd. As I landed to the Shanghai airport, my luggage did not arrive and the driver that picked me up from the airport to bring me to Wuxi must have had a bad evening and fell asleep many times on the highway which was the last thing I needed after having a 10 hour flight.
But things have been going really well since then. The Bosch factory in Wuxi is brand new (founded in 2004) and it has been developing at a very fast speed. I am working in the manufacturing department and I have been given two assignments. One of them is to help bringing a standardized management tracking tool that will enable managers to find and track the potential improvement areas in their department. My second assignment is to reduce the cycle time of a new assembly line.
September and October are said to be the best seasons in this region and I have been very lucky to arrive at a time in which lots of social activities are organized for Bosch associates. There has already been two weekend trips to different locations around the region which gave me the chance to get to know my colleagues and integrate myself in this completely new culture and environment.
The people are very friendly, the food is delicious and even though the traffic and air pollution is bad, I am looking forward to discovering the endless locations to be visited including some of the biggest and busiest cities of the world to the untouched natural resorts…
