Wuxi (China) - Curitiba (Brazil) -> 50 Hours door to door

My past few weeks have been pretty interesting and intensive at the same time. As I mentioned in my last blog, my main task here in the Wuxi (China) plant is to help implementing a structured cost analysis tool. As Bosch has factories all around the world, it is important that all plants manufacturing the same products use the same standard while analyzing their costs.
For this reason a workshop was organized in Brazil aiming to compare different plants, see the differences, share experiences and find potential for improvements. So I flew to Brazil to attend this workshop two weeks ago. From door to door it took me exactly 50 hours which was the longest trip I have ever done.
This workshop gave me the chance to discover a new Bosch plant, a new country, new colleagues, new culture etc. etc. Even though the trip was far too long, it was definitely worth it!
After my return I took one week off and traveled around China. The financial district of Shanghai, the great wall and forbidden city of Beijing and the terracotta warriors of Xi’an were some of the highlights of my trip. There is just so much to discover in this country…
