Closing Blog for México

Constantino • 30.Oktober, 2009 @ 11:23 • Abgelegt unter: Marketing / Vertrieb, Forschung und Entwicklung

I recently finished my marketing trainee station in México and so thought it would be a perfect time to write again!

If you’ve followed my last blog, you should know most of responsiblities within my foreign station.  After all was said and done, I created a large range of marketing material for the Bosch Buderus brand.  I made product catalogs, technical datasheets, updated the website and was generally responsible for all the marketing issues related to Buderus.  All of this work culminated when I participated in a fair in which Bosch was present.  Much of my work was available to help inform customers and clients and I even had a chance to talk to many interested people about out technology.   As far as my product management responsibilities, we were able to define a price range and volume count for a new range of products that we could potentially sell in México.  Germany finally approved our numbers and so I began the first few steps of the launch of the product.  I organized all the technical reading material, begin work on the catalogs for the particular product and just general did any work I could to help speed the process of getting the product shipped to México.

And so that was it!  Now I’m off to Tamm near Stuttgart Germany.  Since I am a Forschung und Entwicklung trainee, I have to jump back into technical work after my little vacation with marketing work.  I will be working in GS-EH which stands for Gasoline Systems - Electric Hybrid.  I will be working on implementing hybrid strategies into hybrid cars, which I think means test driving hybrid vehicles!  This fits very well into the project I had been working on before (using navigation systems to help reduce fuel consumption) since we will be using ideas developed in my earlier work within the hybrid vehicles.  Stay tuned for all the exciting things I’ll be working on within the next few months.

And my blog would not be complete without some photos of México, and so I leave you a few more from my last week in the wonderful country!
