Back to Germany

Constantino • 11.Januar, 2010 @ 04:17 • Abgelegt unter: Forschung und Entwicklung

Well, I made it back to Germany after a wonderful stay in Mexico with Bosch, Buderus; now I’m stationed in Tamm, near Stuttgart, with GS-EH.

GS-EH?  What is that?  Gasoline Systems (GS), Electric Hybrid (EH).  Simply put, I’m working in the area of Bosch which is developing the next generation electric and hybrid vehicles.  They are specifically working on components such and inverters, electric motors, etc.  So what am I doing here?  Well, if you remember correctly, I am working on a project which is aiming to do better energy management with data from navigation systems.  Now, we have a prototype (navi) and we have a prototype vehicle in which we can test it.  However, the actual testing plan (in which we verify our ideas are working) has not yet been defined; that’s where I come in.

So, I’ve got to figure out which tests we have to organize.  Then I have to see what each test requires, how to plan it, how to prepare it, etc.  It’s all actually very straightforward.  For example, I’m organizing all the tests of the vehicle which will take place on a Rollenprüfstand.  I’m working closely with the people in Hildesheim, where the project is based, as well as the simulation people here in Tamm.

Any questions about my work, just let me know!  And of course, a few photos from where I’m living; these are all from Ludwigsburg, a nice little Baroque city near Tamm:
